A Hopkinsville man was booked into the Christian County Jail after police say he burglarized a residence earlier this month.
22-year old Ryan A. Kemp, who is not related to Hopkinsville Mayor Dan Kemp, is now charged with 1st Degree Burglary and 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief and was taken into custody without incident.
Kemp was arrested on Tuesday on the strength of a warrant that was issued by Judge Jason Fleming on Monday.
Kemp is accused of unlawfully forcing his way into an Owens Drive residence and then intentionally damaging a wall, a Christmas tree stand and a picture frame on Monday, December 3rd.
The 22-year old is also accused of grabbing the woman who lived at the residence by her neck and pushing her head into a wall.
The police report states photographs were taken of the victim, who had visible scratches to her neck, as well as damages to the interior of the home.
Kemp remains lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
