The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with an attempted murder from Sunday.
A news release from Detective Will Coursey says 34-year old Curtis Brasher is charged with attempted murder for allegedly using what’s termed an “edged weapon” to attack his step-mother at her home Sunday.
The victim has been identified as 66-year old Sherry Brasher of East Pine Street, Nortonville. Ms. Brasher is reportedly in stable condition at an area hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for her injuries.
Detective Coursey says Curtis Brasher was soon identified as a suspect and that he was arrested in Nashville around 4am Tuesday. He is currently lodged in the Davidson County Jail and is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky.
