Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury wreck Thursday night.
Police say the crash occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway, at approximately the 55 mile-marker, on Thursday at 5:15 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed that 66-year old Linda Sue Bledsoe, Georgia was driving northbound on the parkway when a deer entered the roadway, causing Ms. Bledsoe’s vehicle to collide with the deer which caused her to lose control.
Police say the vehicle exited the roadway and traveled into the median where it came to rest.
Ms. Bledsoe, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported by ambulance to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana for treatment.
The Hanson Volunteer Fire Department and Webster County EMS assisted at the scene.
