Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred near Princeton this morning.
State Police say the wreck occurred on KY 672, about six miles west of Princeton, around 6:20 a.m.
Police say the preliminary investigation revealed that 25-year old Michael H. Phebus of Dawson Springs was driving eastbound on KY 6-72 when his vehicle struck a patch of ice on the roadway causing him to lose control, exit off the right side of the roadway, cross both lanes of traffic and end up in a ditch.
Phebus was given a ride by a passerby to Dawson Springs where he was treated by Medical Center Ambulance Service and then transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The investigation into the wreck remains ongoing by Trooper First Class John Komar investigated the collision.
