Hopkinsville Police continue to investigate shots being fired into a residence with police saying they are following up on all leads in this case.
Police say the incident happened today around 3 a.m. at 10-09 Moayon Street.
Officers reported receiving the call in reference to shots being fired into the residence and when police arrived and talked to a witness and found that the suspect was in a white older model car that had a noticeably loud exhaust.
The witness stated when she looked outside the vehicle pilled off and went toward Cottage Street and stopped at the stop sign and didn’t seem to be in a hurry to leave the area.
Debra Thompson also told police that she laying in bed when she heard several shots at her residence and heard glass shattering and that a round came over top of her bed, which narrowly missed her.
Police say a spent round from a firearm was located at the scene and placed into evidence.
There were no suspects listed in the report.
