Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred on the Western Kentucky Parkway this afternoon.
Preliminary investigation revealed that 42-year old Thomas Swink of Woodlawn, Tennessee was driving a van eastbound on the parkway with twelve passengers on board.
State Police say as the van was traveling eastbound, a deer entered the roadway and the driver of the van was unable to avoid hitting the deer.
A passenger, 35-year old Kathy McGee of Clarksville was transported by ambulance to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported and all occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the wreck.
