A Central City man is behind bars following a brief vehicle and foot pursuit in the Bremen area with Kentucky State Police.
State Police say on Thursday, around 2:33 p.m. a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle
on Gishton Road for various traffic offenses.
The trooper reported that the driver of the vehicle failed to yield, fled northbound onto KY 81, made a sudden turn onto Billy Drake Road and onto Brittany Lane where the driver drove through a yard and abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
After a brief foot pursuit, the driver was apprehended and was identified as 30-year old Michael D. Robinson of Central City.
Robinson is charged with speeding 26 miles over the speed limit, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest, DUI, wanton endangerment among other charges.
Robinson remains lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
