Clarksville Police are investigating a shooting death at a night club from early Saturday morning.
A news release from Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says officers were called to C-Ray’s Social Club on Fort Campbell Boulevard just after 3am and found a 20-year old male laying on a wooden ramp outside.
An ambulance took the man to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds and he died shortly after 4am from his injuries. Police say he was not a Fort Campbell solider.
Police received little cooperation from other people who were at the club, but were able to determine a fight had broken out and that shots were fired during the confrontation. Detectives continue to process the scene and anyone who may have information on the incident should call Clarksville Police anonymously at 931-645-TIPS.
The victim’s name is being withheld, pending family notification.
