Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Grimes says there is a record number of Kentuckians registered to vote in Tuesday’s general election and she expects a big turnout.
Secretary Grimes says just over three million Kentuckians are on the voter roll this time around.
Based on 73-thousand absentee votes having already been cast, Ms. Grimes is projecting a voter turnout between 62 and 64-percent Tuesday.
Asked if she’d support joining 31 other states that allow early voting, Secretary Grimes said she would favor that action that would have to be taken up by the General Assembly.
Absentee voting continues through Monday in Christian County.
