The City of Hopkinsville has announced the trick or treat times and locations for Halloween this year.
Downtown trick or treating will begin at 3:30 on Wednesday, October 31st, according to a news release, which says street merchants, local organizations and businesses will set up on South Main from East 9th to East 14th and on the south side of the street from South Main to South Virginia.
Adults must accompany children ages 12 and under and the trick or treaters must bring their own bag.
A group from Brooke Bailey Dance Association will provide entertainment at some point in the afternoon, with the whole event sponsored by the Hopkinsville Division of Parks and Recreation, Main Street Merchants and Downtown Renaissance.
Trick or Treat at the Mall will go from 4 until 7 at Bradford Square, with participating stores to hand out candy to children ages 12 and under.
Mayor Dan Kemp is requesting all trick or treating at homes in the city to take place between 5 and 8pm.
