Congressman Ed Whitfield has sent President Barack Obama a letter asking him to fulfill his commitments he made several years ago when he first took office concerning transparency of organizations.
Congressman Whitfield sent the letter to the President requesting he halt the Environmental Protection Agency’s diverging course.
In the letter, Congressman Whitfield wrote he was deeply troubled by the EPA working outside of its legal authority and in a manner clearly inconsistent with the expectations the President set forth.
In the letter Congressman Whitfield also mentioned that as our country struggles to create jobs and grow the economy, it cannot afford EPA’s costly freelancing beyond the bounds of existing laws.
The letter outlines recent court decisions where judges have ruled the EPA had overstepped its authority.
