Wallace Wright Lane
Two of the three suspects wanted for questioning in connection with last week’s drive-by shooting on Durrett Avenue were arrested over the weekend on unrelated charges.
19-year old Mitchell Wallace of Hopkinsville turned himself in at the Christian County Jail yesterday morning and was served with a warrant for failure to pay fines related to gun and littering charges. HPD arrested 23-year old Zachary Lane of Crofton Friday afternoon and served him with a warrant on probation violation charges.
Public Information Officer Paul Ray says the two men were questioned about the incident, but have not yet been charged. A third suspect wanted for questioning, Malcom Rashaad Wright, is still being sought. Anyone knowing his whereabouts should call the Crime Stoppers Tips Line at 887-TIPS.
The eight-year old girl shot in the abdomen Wednesday night while in a Durrett Avenue home was released from Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital late last week.
