A wreck in Clarksville involving a motorcycle Saturday sent the biker to a Nashville hospital.
A news release from Clarksville Police says the incident happened around noon at the intersection of Sango Road and Highway 76. Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says 48-year old Jerome Rogers was attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 76 and drove into the path of an eastbound motorcycle.
The name of the motorcycle driver has not been released, but Officer Knoll says the 59-year old man collided with Rogers’ truck, causing injuries that required a trip to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by helicopter.
The injured man was conscious and alert when he was taken to the helicopter. Officer Knoll says the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. Officer Melissa Spielhagen is the lead investigator.
