Traffic on I-24 westbound in Trigg County is restricted to one lane this morning after a wreck involving a tractor-trailer claimed a life last night.
Few details are known other than the crash happened near the 62 mile-marker around 9:30pm, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Both westbound lanes were closed for a while last night until crews decided it would be easier to do accident reconstruction in the daylight.
Highway Department Spokesman Keith Todd says it will likely be noon today or later until both westbound lanes will be open. Todd says crash debris from the semi involved in the wreck spreads along a wide area.
Westbound drivers should be on the lookout for slow and merging traffic, while eastbound motorists are unaffected by the crash.
