A fight between two Tennessee men who worked together on South Main Street Saturday morning resulted in an arrest on assault charges.
The incident happened at 121 South Main around 10:30, when 47-year old Jeffery Palmer of Mount Juliet and 32-year old James Morrissey of Madison, Tennessee got into a verbal argument that turned physical.
The Hopkinsville Police report says Morrissey was Palmer’s employer and that Palmer struck Morrissey in the head with some type of tool, causing a severe laceration. Palmer was arrested and charged with second degree assault. A female at the scene—46-year old Christie Ford of Mount Juliet—was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police allegedly found pills not prescribed to her in her possession.
