Todd County residents won’t be able to renew their driver’s license tomorrow as a new machine will be installed at the clerk’s office.
Todd will be among the first counties to receive the technically advanced machines that use multiple layers of security features to make the license extremely difficult to counterfeit.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Vehicle Registration Commissioner Tom Zawacki says the new licenses are the manifestation of Kentucky’s efforts to improve the level of service provided to customers, in addition to securing a credential Kentuckians use each day.
The cabinet emphasizes that all other services at the Todd Circuit Clerk’s office will be available and that that driver’s license renewal will be available again Friday. The cost of renewals will remain 20 dollars.
