A Hopkinsville man narrowly avoided serious injury this morning after someone fired gunshots into a house.
The incident happened at 1518 Tate Street just after midnight, when 20-year old William McAllister of Hopkinsville said he was laying on the couch watching television when he heard gunshots and a bullet passed through the room almost hitting him.
McAllister told police he got up and ran to the back of the house, while 54-year old Jessie Brody of Hopkinsville said he stayed in a bedroom until police arrived. Officers found four shell casings in the street near the residence and four bullet holes in the house.
No suspects are listed on the report and no one was injured.
