A Clarksville man was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a wreck on Ashland City Road Thursday evening that allegedly involved the use of alcohol.
A news release from Clarksville Police says 42-year old David Edmonds of Clarksville was southbound on Ashland City Road around 5pm when he ran off the road and hit a mailbox.
The pickup flipped onto its roof, ejecting Edmonds, who was not wearing his seat belt. Edmonds was pinned between the truck’s top and the pavement and had to be cut from the wreckage.
He was flown to Vanderbilt, where he is listed in stable condition. Officer Jim Knoll says charges are pending against Edmonds, as police believe alcohol may have been a factor.
