Clarksville Police say they conducted another successful DUI Saturation Patrol campaign, which resulted in over a dozen arrests.
Police say from Friday, August 24th to Saturday, September 8th officers were out in full force looking for impaired drivers.
During the campaign, 348 vehicles were stopped, 14 people were charged with DUI, 6 people were charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license, 22 people were charged with simple possession or possession of drug paraphernalia, while other motorists were either cited for not obeying traffic laws or not having insurance for their vehicles.
As a result of the campaign, 304 charges were levied against the 348 motorists.
The DUI Saturation Patrol is partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office in an effort to ensure roadways are safe and drunk drivers are taken off the streets.
