(Laquientus Lamarcus Webb)
A Clarksville Police Officer is recovering from his injuries after his foot was ran over by a vehicle during a routine traffic stop last night.
Police say around 8:19 p.m. 40-year old Officer Dennis Honholt initiated a traffic stop on 32-year old Laquientus Webb of Howard Street for no turn indicator and failure to stop.
Officer Honholt reported that after he approached Webb’s vehicle, he noticed the windows of the vehicles were rolled up and his hands were lowered to where he could not see them.
Officer Honholt says he leaned into the rear of his vehicle with the anticipation of a threat and that’s when Webb accelerated with the rear tire running over his right foot.
Webb was located at his residence a short time later at his residence, where he told police he was ready to go to jail and after he was read his Miranda rights, he admitted to officers that he put an ounce of marijuana in a garbage can.
Webb is charged with aggravated assault, driving on a revoked license and evading police and remains lodged in the Montgomery County Jail.
