A Clarksville man is accused of holding a knife to a teen’s throat Saturday night.
Clarksville Police say around 10:30 p.m. officers responded to a call in reference to an aggravated assault that took place outside of a business in the 600 block of North Riverside Drive.
Through the course of investigation, police say a 15-year old heard sounds of a fight outside of the business and went over to see what was happening and as he walked towards the area of the fight, he was approached by a man, identified as 26-year old Michael Powers of Merritt Lewis Lane, who grabbed the teen by the shirt, pulled out a knife and held it up to his throat.
Witnesses were able to subdue Powers until police arrived at the scene.
Powers was charged with aggravated assault and remains lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on a $25-thousand dollar bond.
