The Christian County Sheriff’s Office investigated Monday after a young girl was allegedly sexually molested by a man already on the sex offender registry.
The suspect’s name is redacted on the report from Deputy Wade Connell, which says the incident happened Sunday afternoon in Cerulean. The victim’s guardian told police she asked the suspect to watch the victim while she was gone to the store for 45 minutes and that’s when the alleged crime took place.
The girl told the guardian what happened and said the suspect threatened to harm her if she told what he did. She was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Deputy Connell says the suspect was on the sex offender registry for sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 11 from a previous incident.
There were no arrest citations in the media basket for the incident Wednesday morning, but the investigation continues.
