A two-vehicle wreck at Dawson Springs Road and the Bypass last night injured four people.
The incident happened around 10:30, according to the report from Hopkinsville Police. Witnesses on the scene told officers that 16-year old Victoria Ramos of Hopkinsville ran a red light on the 1682 Bypass as she was southbound through the intersection, hitting a vehicle driven by 25-year old Donovan Dame of Hopkinsville in the side.
Dame said he had a yellow light on Dawson Road, while Ms. Ramos disputed the witness claims and said her light was green. Three of Dame’s passengers, 20-year old Olivia Calhoun of Cadiz, 20-year old Meredith Scruggs of Hopkinsville and 25-year old Stewart Haberlock of Hopkinsville were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. All three were not wearing seat belts.
A passenger in the Ramos car, 18-year old Cody Boyd of Hopkinsville, was also taken to Jennie Stuart. Boyd was buckled in at the time of the wreck, according to the police report.
