Clarksville Police are investigating an alleged shooting that took place early this morning in the area of Riverview Drive.
Police say around 8:49 a.m. police were called to 1-11 Riverview Drive in reference to a man shot inside of the residence, once inside, officers reported that a 24-year old man was on the floor with a gunshot wound to the neck and that he was conscious and breathing.
The man was transported by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
Witnesses told police that there were sounds of a struggle coming from inside of the house and a gunshot was heard with two men fleeing the residence shortly after the shooting.
Police say the suspects were described as a white male and a black male in their late teens or early 20s and that several items of physical evidence were gathered at the crime scene.
