A mother was arrested in Clarksville Tuesday evening for allegedly assaulting her daughter for burning a grilled cheese sandwich.
Clarksville Police say an 11-year old girl had been cooking grilled cheese sandwiches with her mother, 34-year old Christina Reaves of 911 Poppy Drive, when she accidentally burnt one.
Reaves reportedly admitted to police that she used physical punishment against the girl and Officer Erin Garcia writes knuckle marks and bruises could be seen on the child’s face. The girl’s father was gone at the time of the alleged attack.
Reaves was arrested and charged with child abuse and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on $5,000 bond.
