A Clarksville teen is accused of stalking and attempting to kidnap a 13-year old girl while she was walking on Peachers Mill Road last night.
Police say officers were dispatched to Marshall Drive around 7:15 p.m. to investigate an attempted kidnapping and were told by a 13-year old female that she had been followed by an unknown male driving a black vehicle on Peachers Mill.
The juvenile also told police that while she was waling down the roadway, the male pulled his vehicle over and demanded that she get inside the vehicle.
Police say the 13-year old female was able to cross the street and enter Chum’s Market on 811 Peachers Mill and told the two men inside that she was being followed and contacted her mother, while the other man was able to get the suspect’s vehicle description.
A short time later, officers were able to locate the vehicle on Peachers Mill Road and during questioning, the 17-year old male admitted to trying to pick up the 13-year old girl while he was on his way to pick-up his friend and during the investigation process, it was discovered that the 17-year old’s friend who took over driving, 30-year old Bakari Smith of Windriver had a revoked license and was found with cocaine.
Smith was booked into the Montgomery County Jail for driving on a revoked license, drugs for manufacture, sell or delivery, while the 17-year old was charged with stalking.
