A house fire on Buckner Drive Wednesday evening did some damage, but it could have been much worse.
The report from the Hopkinsville Fire Department says their response time was two minutes because units were in the area of 2515 Buckner on their way back to the station when they got the call.
The blaze was confined to two couches in a front room and a dog in the home was rescued. In all, 12-thousand dollars worth of damage was done to the home and contents. Clinton Comperry is listed as the resident of the home and Alison Keith as the owner.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause is listed as “undetermined.”
