Clarksville Police say a local man with a lengthy criminal history is behind bars once again.
29-year old William Brian Rittenberry, who is on three years probation for theft is now charged with three counts of vehicle burglary.
Police say around 6:30 a.m. today, officers were dispatched to the Bennett Drive area for suspicious activity after a man now identified as Rittenberry, was allegedly seen entering several vehicles.
The witness was able to provide responding officers with a physical description of the suspect and police were able to locate Rittenberry a short time later in the same area.
Police say Rittenberry was found with various items including a checkbook, check card, and other property which did not belong to him. The stolen items were later returned to the property owners.
