A Clarksville mother is accused of leaving her three small children home alone for nearly half an hour.
Clarksville Police charged 28-year old Annette Denis Drayton with one count of child abuse/ neglect after police, EMS and Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to a medical panic alarm at 1136 Peachers Mill Road this morning.
Police say around 8 a.m. an officer arrived on the scene and found the front door unlocked and a child turning the knob on the open door and after he entered the residence, he found two other children inside home alone.
The children ranged in age from 9 months old to 3 years old and after 13 minutes of when police initially responded, Drayton arrived at the residence and admitted to police that she left her children home alone for about 30 minutes.
Police were able to determine that one of the children activated the panic alarm.
Drayton was booked into the Montgomery County without incident on a $5,000 bond with her children released into the custody of a family member.
