A wreck at 7th and Main in Hopkinsville this morning injured two and closed traffic for a little over an hour.
The incident happened around 7am, with initial reports indicating a man in his early 30’s was southbound on Main in the lefthand lane when he clipped a utility pole with his mirror just north of 5th Street. He then struck a parked unoccupied vehicle and pushed it several feet, before running off the road and into a railing.
The man and his 4-year old male passenger were both taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. We will have more details with the release of the official police report.
Both lanes of Main Street were closed for over an hour while the scene was cleared.
