A few more candidates have filed for city council in Christian County’s smaller incorporated towns and another incumbent school board member has filed papers to run.
Filing for re-election in District 2 was Betsy Glover, who has served two years in that position after winning a special election following the resignation of Darryl Lynch. Ms. Glover will face Teresa Moss in the November General Election.
There are now four candidates for Crofton City Council, as Brenda West joined Gregory Owen, Lewis Croft and Anthony Durham in running late last week. At least two more candidates are still needed to fill out Crofton’s council.
In Oak Grove, Janet Edwards and Tim Johnson joined James McKnight in filing papers, with three more candidates needed there. Two more people need to file papers in Pembroke, where Sherry Byerline and Jeanette Aldridge are still the only two candidates running for the four-member council.
Only Norma Banks has filed to run for the Lafayette City Commission, where four members make up the panel. The deadline to file is 4pm Tuesday.
