One of the McHenry Street shooting victims from Sunday morning has already been released from the hospital and the other appears to be on the way to recovering.
Hopkinsville Police Public Information Officer Paul Ray says 18-year old Brooklyn Adams of Hopkinsville was treated and released from Jennie Stuart Medical Center for a gunshot wound about four inches above her knee.
The more seriously injured victim, 24-year old James Kyle of Hopkinsville, is listed in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Kyle was flown from Jennie Stuart to Vandy after being shot just under his ribcage, according to the report from Hopkinsville Police.
The suspect accused of shooting the victims, 25-year old Desmond Daniel of Hopkinsville, remains in the Christian County Jail and will appear in court Wednesday. Daniel is charged with two counts of first degree assault in connection with the incident that occurred just after midnight near the 2000 block of McHenry Sunday morning.
