A rear-end collision on Country Club Lane yesterday afternoon sent two Hopkinsville residents to the hospital.
Police say the incident happened around 4:45 when 61-year old Doris Manning of Hopkinsville was stopped and waiting to turn into 125 Country Club. 47-year old Paul Herndon of Hopkinsville was approaching from behind and said he didn’t notice Ms. Manning was stopped.
By the time he applied his brakes, it was too late and he skidded on the wet pavement into the rear of the vehicle. Ms. Manning and her passenger, 39-year old Larayna Perez of Hopkinsville, were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for head, neck and back pain. Herndon was not injured.
