Christian County School System Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill says the re-structuring of the central office is just one step toward her greater goal of student achievement.
Ms. Gemmill says she was more familiar with the “chief officer” system, as opposed to the assistant superintendent way of operating the previous administration utilized. More importantly, she says the re-structuring puts an emphasis on supporting the individual schools.
She says she was reassured in her own mind it was the right thing to do when several principals voiced a desire for more support from administrators in the central office.
The first day of school is August 15th in Christian County and Ms. Gemmill says she is looking forward to the students being in the buildings for the first time in her young administration.
