Heat and high humidity are forecast to enter the area again Monday, prompting an Excessive Heat Warning from the National Weather Service.
Forecasters say the warning runs from 10am Monday through 7pm Thursday. Temperatures in the upper 90’s will combine with humid conditions to make it feel like around 105 each day. The prolonged nature of the heat wave is the reason for a warning instead of a more common heat advisory.
As always, those who must be outside are reminded to drink plenty of fluids and to take plenty of breaks in a shady area to remain healthy and safe. It won’t be quite as hot as it was earlier in the summer when the temperature reached 107 degrees, but the humidity then was not nearly as high as forecasters expect in the coming days.
