A Fort Campbell soldier who had car trouble saw his day become even worse early this morning when the car was reportedly stolen from the shoulder of I-24.
The Sheriff’s Office report says 23-year old Christopher Marchman of Desert Storm Avenue, Fort Campbell told police he broke down on the interstate just before midnight, and that someone stopped to give him a ride home.
Marchman had his girlfriend take him back to where he left his red 2009 Honda Accord, but it had been stolen. Police in Christian and Montgomery Counties were alerted to be on the lookout for the car, but had no luck in finding it. The vehicle is valued at 10-thousand dollars and has a Tennessee license plate.
