A wreck involving the alleged use of alcohol resulted in a trip to jail for a Hopkinsville woman last night.
Charged with DUI after the single-vehicle incident on Pyle Lane around 8:30 was 43-year old Lori Anne Wyatt of Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Police Officer Matt Overby writes on the report that Wyatt said a rabbit hopped out in front of her near the 200 block of Pyle, causing her to swerve to the left. Her vehicle went into a soybean field and traveled several feet before she came back onto the road and ran off again into a ditch.
Police say she smelled of alcohol and blew a .191 on the breath test, which is well over twice the legal limit. Wyatt was not injured in the incident and was taken to the Christian County Jail.
