The Christian County Animal Shelter is introducing a new program called Get Em Done, which is designed to reduce the problem of animal over population.
Director Irene Grace says animal over population is a major problem nationwide, with Christian County and surrounding communities not immune from the issue.
Ms. Grace gives more information about the program.
Three local veterinary clinics are assisting the shelter to spay and neuter six dogs and four cats per week, but it comes at a cost and that’s where Ms. Grace is hoping residents will step in and make a financial contribution to the cause.
Residents interested in making a financial contribution are urged to contact the Christian County Animal Shelter at 270-887-4175.
