Firework sales are down in Christian County and surrounding areas due to excessive heat and burn bans being implemented around the region.
Isiah Victor, who manages a local business that sells various fireworks, says sales are tremendously down compared to last year.
Victor then went onto say he understood why a burn ban was issued for the county, but expressed his concern about what officials will do once the area receives some rainfall.
Judge-Executive Steve Tribble instituted the burn ban in Christian County, which includes the lighting of fireworks and burning of any material outdoors.
Christian County joins Trigg, Todd, Muhlenberg, Hopkins and Montgomery Counties in implementing a burn ban.
