A state contractor is going to brave the extreme heat Monday to start paving work in Cadiz.
The project along Business 68 in Cadiz will begin at Scott Street and go east for a little over two miles. Rogers Group is the contractor tasked with the project, which will cost about 411-thousand dollars.
The State Highway Department says it expects the project to take two to three days, depending on the weather. Anyone driving through Cadiz while work is going on is urged to slow down and use caution.
Paving crews will not work on the Fourth of July if the project isn’t complete by then.
