Details are now known about the tractor-trailer versus motorcycle wreck at 9th and Campbell in Hopkinsville yesterday afternoon.
The report says 44-year old Jerry Floyd of Hopkinsville was stopped in the left turn lane on South Campbell around 3:40pm in his semi.
Approaching from behind on a motorcycle was 24-year old Dearrion Spencer, who told police he thought Floyd was going to make a left turn because of his positioning and was caught off guard when Floyd turned right. Floyd said he had to swing into the left lane to turn the big rig.
Spencer was unable to stop and slid underneath the trailer, which ran over his leg. Spencer was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, while Floyd went uninjured.
