The number of people killed on Kentucky roadways this year continues to run ahead of last year’s pace.
Kentucky State Police say 11 people died on roadways last week, including a fatal crash on U.S. 62 in Caldwell County Thursday that claimed the life of 53-year old Patrick Hummel.
Two people died in wrecks in McCracken County and one person was killed in a motorcycle wreck in Lyon County.
Through Sunday, 353 people had lost their lives in wrecks in Kentucky—which was 46 more than at the same point last year. Police suspect 58 of those victims died in wrecks involving alcohol.
