Trigg County Hospital will be expanding in the near future, thanks in part to a federal loan.
A news release from Congressman Ed Whitfield’s office says the Trigg County Hospital Corporation has received approval for a 7-million dollar loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Rural Development to renovate and modernize the facility.
Congressman Whitfield says the loan will help provide updated medical services for the people of the Trigg county region, as well as create jobs and provide an economic boost to the Cadiz area.
The project includes the development of a new surgery suite, ambulatory care, procedures suite, and sterile processing support areas, as well as a new family waiting area. The project will also include the renovation of an existing building located within 250 yards of the hospital to relocate Outpatient Physical Therapy and the Rural Health Clinic.
