Here’s something you don’t hear about in the news too often. Clarksville Police are applauding a good samaritan who recently discovered and notified authorities about a duffle bag full of cash.
Police say 49-year old Kenneth Allen of Helton Drive, Clarksville contacted police when he found a blue bank bag sitting on top of a trash can, outside of a Peachers Mill Road convenience store filled with a large amount of cash a 51-year old man’s wallet inside.
According to police, the duffel bag contained $12,764 and that the owner of the bag had a severe reaction to his medication and was hospitalized and that’s when the bag was left at the convenience store.
The money has been returned to the owner thanks in large part to the good samaritan.
