A Clarksville man was booked into the Montgomery County Jail over the weekend for allegedly robbing another man at gun point under the guise of being a door to door salesman.
Clarksville Police say sometime Sunday afternoon 24-year old Maurice Antonio Deleoatch of Cascade Drive and his accomplice approached a 51-year old man sitting in a wheelchair on the porch of his Rainbow Street residence and told him they were selling sports magazines and let them both inside his residence.
The victim says as soon as they entered his residence, one of them pulled out a handgun and pointed it at his head, while the other man ransacked the residence, took his wallet, credit cards, cash, oxycodone and diabetes medicine.
Shortly after the alleged armed robbery, Deleoatch and the other suspect fled the scene in an older model vehicle, which was later located at an apartment complex on Rusellville Pike and police were able to determine Deleoatch as one of the two robbery suspects.
Deleoatch, who has a lengthy criminal history was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $10,000.
The other suspect remains at large and is described as a black male, 18 or 19 years old, with clean shaven and short hair.
