The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged a Nortonville man with attempted murder today.
48-year old Gerald Frederick Jr. of West Pine Street, Nortonville is accused of stabbing and cutting 34-year old Bradley Furgerson of Chestnut Street, Nortonville multiple times with a knife sometime on Monday.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 hang up call at 31 South Chestnut Street, Nortonville.
Sheriff’s deputies say the incident developed out of a verbal altercation that escalated into the attempted murder of Furgerson, whose condition remains unclear at this time.
Frederick is now lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Kentucky State Police and the Madisonville Police Department.
