Retiring Todd County School system Superintendent Mike Kenner says he leaves with mixed emotions, but is excited to see what the future holds.
Interviewed after his final board meeting in that position Thursday night, Kenner said anyone would feel some sadness after retiring from a lifetime in education.
Kenner described his mood as more excited than anything and said he was thankful to have worked in nearly every aspect of education over the last three decades— including the last five as superintendent.
Kenner’s final day on the job will be June 30th and he will be replaced by Fulton County Instructional Supervisor Wayne Benningfield. We’ll have more from our interviews with Kenner and Benningfield in the coming days.
