A Hopkinsville man was arrested yesterday afternoon for his second DUI in the last month following a wreck.
The arrest card says 35-year old Christopher Rudisill of Hopkinsville was observed to have been part of a wreck just before 3pm and attempted to drive away. He was pulled over by Hopkinsville Police at 801 E. 9th soon after the incident and officers say he smelled of alcohol.
Police say he failed field sobriety tests and that he blew a .172 on the breath test at the Christian County Jail—which is over twice the legal limit. No one was injured in the wreck and a record check on Rudisill’s license turned up they were suspended for a DUI last month.
He was charged with DUI, driving on a DUI suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident.
