One of two fugitives featured on this week’s Hopkinsville-Christian County Crime Stoppers is now lodged in the Christian County Jail.
Hopkinsville Police say 44-year old Michael Thomas Gard was arrested without incident, thanks to an anonymous tipster, who will be receiving a cash reward.
Gard, who was wanted on felony theft charges was apprehended today at 2:30 p.m. at the Travel Inn Motel located at 1209 East 9th Street.
Gard is accused of stealing a wallet containing $350 from a vehicle while supposedly working on an air conditioning unit at a residence and also taking a transmission out of a truck and stole $360 intended to go towards purchasing parts for the transmission during two separate incidents last month.
Meanwhile, police are still looking for this week’s remaining Crime Stoppers Fugitive of the Week, 31-year old Christopher Mc-Carley, who is wanted for probation violation.
