The search continues for the next Christian County Public Schools Superintendent.
The Christian County School Board of Education briefly met in closed session tonight with former Collier County, Florida Chief Administrative Officer Mary Ann Gemmell, who is the second potential candidate to be named for the position.
Following closed session, Board Chairman Barry Cornelius stated school board members only discussed the possibility of hiring Gemmel as the next superintendent and took no action on the matter.
A special called meeting of the Christian County Board of Education is scheduled to take place tomorrow night, where school board members will discuss and possibly appoint Gemmel to the position and potentially approve a contract.
The special called meeting is scheduled to take place at 8:30 p.m. at central office.
